hi guys i just repaired my rear end and i would like to know what is the best viscosity for my axle. i`m thinking on the 90w .btw i`m running on 3.55 gears . thanks in advance
-
Gear oil is just fine for the differentials.
-
thanks doug have a nice day :hello2:

The specified oil is 75W90.
You have to remove the covers to get the old oil out.
You will need new gaskets for the Dana 30 and 35.
They are the same as on the XJ Cherokee.

thanks jurjen i already have the cover off . my axle is a dana 30 i`ll go with the 90w and new gasket. thanks for the reply and have a nice day greetings fro mexico

Just be sure the rear has no posi setup. It will take posi additive then. 80/90W is better than straight 90 and 75W90 is synthetic or synthetic blend.
-
thanks. forgot to say that the diff belongs to my 1980 amx instead of the eagle but thanks anyway for the advice
-
That could be a Model 20 then.
-
actually it is a dana 30. will post some pics after finish the job
-
What did the D30 rear come from? Did you mean Model 15 aka Dana 35?
-
Multi weight is better, as it lubes better when staring out cold.

Just checking as to if it is a Dana 30 or not.
