I bet that the Map gas torch will be enough, but without seeing it, its hard to say for sure. Have you hit it with penetrating oil too?

Working on 81 SW, passenger cv half shaft axle replace. The Allen head bolts (6) are seized up w age, going to try some MAPP gas torching. They seem to be M10 size head, but 1/4" Allen wrench fits best. Hdwe store M10 bolts are 8mm...hmmm. Will Mapp gas bbe enough? Thanks

Events & Clubs / 2025 AMC Homecoming Show in Kenosha
« Last post by 89 MJ on November 29, 2024, 10:29:49 PM »
Here is the site with information for the 2025 AMC Homecoming Show in Kenosha. I went in 2022 and thought it was a great time.

https://www.visitkenosha.com/events/annual-events/kenosha-homecoming-car-show/

I'm not sure if I will go again in 2025 due to scheduling conflicts, but I would like to. If I go, I will have the Eagle there.

Anyone else planning on going?

Four Cylinder Club / Re: AMC 2.5L Oil Pan

I would say "yes"; they are the same.  Reasons are (from my AMC and Jeep parts books):

The 1983-only pan is part number 3241391; no matter what AMC vehicle.
The 1984-up pan part number is J3242883; same number for both AMC passenger cars and Jeep Wagoneer/Cherokee models.
Only difference between the '83 and '84-up pans seems to be the addition of a hole in the side for an oil level sensor.

That’s what I was guessing. Thank you!

Four Cylinder Club / AMC 2.5L Oil Pan

Not for the Iron Duke, this is a specific question about the AMC 2.5L. Did they use the same oil pan as the Jeeps? Or was it an Eagle specific pan, like the 4.2L used?

I'll be there!  Thanks for the sale and the heads up!

AMC Eagle Nest Member Art / Looking to commission an artist for Eagle art
« Last post by Ludworks on November 25, 2024, 11:33:55 PM »
I'm looking to commission an artist for some Eagle-based art for TheEagleStore. I'm looking for a range of work from some simplistic outlining up to photo-realistic. If you, or someone you know, has a talent for automotive art, please send me a message.
