Title: 84 Eagle Wagon - Denver - whatcha need?
Post by: vangremlin on January 14, 2014, 10:19:53 AM
There is an 84 Eagle that just showed up in the junkyard in Denver, I'm going to investigate it later this week.  I assume its a wagon but don't know for sure.  If there is something you need, please let me know and I'll check it out.  Thanks.

I need some good visor mounts/rods. I'd prefer metal ones, but if they are plastic and unbroken I'd take them.

I need some rear bumper end caps if you come across some for a wagon or limited

My hood release cable broke during the recent super cold snap

I'm now a vice grip puller.....

If there is one that would be great!

Sounds like you just need the rods/mounts, and not the visors, correct?

Do you just mean the standard front skid plate?  I usually find those on Eagles in the junkyard, although it would be $$ to ship.

Correct. I have good spare visors.

Its the optional one I want; the one that goes kinda under the steering linkage and forward from there.  Those seem hard to come by.

Yes, I'm not sure I've ever seen one of those!

looking for  a speaker grill from the rear for a wagon in not broken shape. Color unimportant as I can paint. Also a rear wiper arm for wagon.

Dave, I need a front seat belt latch. The one that bolts to the floor and latches to the belt. If it's honey, that would be awesome, but I would take any color right now.

So I checked out the Eagle in the junkyard today.  It was definitely a well-worn wagon, and its taken more than its share of abuse once it got to the junkyard.  I was able to pull a lot of the parts people wanted - PMs will be sent to all.  In addition, I picked up some desirables like rear hatch hinges, rear defroster switch, and intermittent wiper switch and module.

Pretty nice woodgrain on this side.  Notice the bent hood, more to come on that later

This is what happens when someone forces the hood open without releasing the latch

Obviously this side was in the sun for the last umpteen years - faded woodgrain

hinges off the rear hatch? Rear bumper corners? (I may switch to Concord bumpers for cleanness.)

Wow that eagle looks pretty much used up but you might want to grab those exterior door handles. Seems their always in demand and also the little chrome strip that connects the tail lights.Don't see those often.

I grabbed the hinges they are in pretty decent shape.  I'm going back tomorrow to grab the bumper ends, they are already spoken for.

The handles are in iffy shape.  Its impossible to even open the driver's door.  I already have a couple spare handles if anybody needs one.  I will grab that chrome strip in the back, i didn't realize those were hard to find.

You should grab the rear window washer nozzle and the wiper arm if they're any good. Always someone looking for them.

Maddog, do you need a set of the headlight surrounds?  I already have a few extra, probably don't need any more for my purposes.

If they are good I may need them. I don't have a good pair between my 4. Was just going to try and get by.

That poor Eagle! Glad some pieces are at least going to live on! I might be interested in the intermittent wiper switch/solenoid if it's not spoken for.

Makes me feel better about trying to get it..that's who I'm going to get it for. When she starts driving. Plus more practical than a Kammback. I'll know Saturday if I need anything..
