upper control arm interchange w 74 Javelin
« on: March 13, 2018, 05:14:03 PM »
Just converted my; 74 AMX to coil overs so I have the upper control arms.  86 Eagle needs a front end rebuild and I just got the drivers upper control arm removed.  Noticed the AMX and Eagle control arms looked nearly the same (same shape, length, width, curve) so I dry fit the AMX control arm to the Eagle slots and it fit perfectly.  Can still read the Moog bushing # on the AMX control arm and it is the same as the ones I bought for the Eagle.  Ball joint is different, but the mounting holes are the same.  Anyone have an interchange manual or know if the control arms are the same?  Thanks.
Marty

Hi Marty:

I was 99% sure they are identical, so I checked my AMX parts books to be sure.   Now I'm 100% sure they are identical!   You're good to go.
