87 Driver Glass in an 80
« on: June 10, 2013, 03:46:59 PM »
Hi all!

I'm hoping to formerly introduce myself and my 80 eagle wagon I just bought later this weekend, but I have a quick question:

Will the drivers side glass from an 87 eagle fit in an 80?

Hello Mewcus (Love the name!)

Welcome to the Nest from Tennessee!

I would think the glass is interchangeable, the nice thing about AMC is they reused so many things on different models and year to year, they did it to save money of course but today it helps us to restore our cars

Glass is the same even on Concords and most Hornets too, I have a Spirit parts car that is "giving its all" to keep an Eagle, Concord and AMX on the road

But just to be sure I would measure it before I paid money for it

Got a definitive answer to your original question.  I checked my parts books, and yes, all side glass is the same for '80 thru '88 4-door Eagles (same part number throughout the range).

I've been lurking on these forums for about 6 months while researching eagles, looking for one to buy in my area, and convincing my wife that this will be our Awesome Camping Vehicle (ACV)

Awesome responses guys! Many thanks. I am so excited to join the community.

Welcome to the Nest and thanks for changing from lurking to active status.  We'd love to see some pictures of your wagon.  Rollguy made a custom tent for the back of his wagon, something like that would make yours a truly ACV!
