AMC ET-501 CEC Fuel Feedback System Tester
« on: November 02, 2015, 10:26:34 AM »
Does anyone have experience/knowledge with using the AMC ET-501 CEC Fuel Feedback system tester? I purchased one at an auction and it did not come with any instruction manual.
I looked in both the MR 251 and the AMC Tech. service manual and didn't see any info or usage for it in there.
And basic knowledge or directions as to how it works would be appreciated.

i would ask on the AMCforum dot com
AMC/Jeep gauges are for amusement only. Any correlation between them and reality is purely coincidental!

I can only image that this tester would eliminate a lot of guess work off drilling through all the parts associated with the CEC fuel system and other engine operations.
To include eliminating the need to hook up a tachometer for RPM readings.

It seems to be a really cool diagnostic tool to have and I would really like to know how it works.  I'm surprise this tool has not surfaced in past forums.

Check out the test vocabulary on the back of the tester.

I have it!!   I'll scan it and send you a .pdf.   Send me your email addy to send it to.

You can do me a favor in exchange.  I need a pic of the back of the 2 blue plugs on the CEC connector harness.   I may be missing a couple of wires, and this would help.   There are 2 wires on that cable that have been cut -- and I don't know if they came that way or not.

Awesome...
My email is [email protected]

My harness also has two wires cut off on the blue connector side. One is a blue/white striped wire and the other is a yellow/white striped wire. I have a detailed image of the cut wires and the connecting wires on the blue adaptors. I'll send you the pdf when you email me.

Thank again for your help brother.

You're welcome.   And thanks for the pics of your cables.   Looks like what I thought was a problem (even tho the unit works as advertised) is just the way it came.  Go figure!
