Fender flares are matt black now. They are quite mess too. Tried to fix those, but they are far from perfect.  :P

But grey, matt black and polished aluminium/ stainless steel goes well together, I think... and some chrome stripes...

Last week I took this project out of my garage. I´m going to paint my Matador Coupe some day and after that some other jobs too. I´ll start with this when it is spring time. Brakes, interior and wiring needs some attention... then road test... I have made an order of a new set of 205/70x15 wheels.

Something new...

I bought a "new" set of wheels. They are from a Mercury Cougar of a Jeeper from our AMC club.

Inner lining was terrible. So it needed some attention.

Someone had glued a leather like vinyl to it after he had fixed that hardened material. After that second crash it has been fixed with duct tape. That dark stuff is just dust.

I took that vinyl off. It looks much better in pic that it really is...

Used some packaking tape to give right shape and fix holes. Notice those sophisticated supports...

Some woven fiberglass...

...and resin.

This one needs some extra strenght, because it had broken into pieces.

If there were more AMC Eagle/Hornet/Concord wagons in Finland, it would be time to make a fiberglass mould for new inner linings... But it is waste of money... We have here about  15 wagons... and this was one of the worst...
