Title: Gas tank vent plug
Post by: Beaverseagle on December 20, 2015, 01:36:09 PM
The vent line that runs up to the front of the engine rusted away. Do I need to keep that vent open or can I just plug it?  I'm worried gas may spill out when I fill up.

Are you talking the line on the drivers side engine compartment to fuel tank?

Ok to what end ?

I'm removing all the emissions stuff.  Where should I run the vent line?

Go to the EPedia and under #8 1982 and 1983 TSM section go to fuel systems . Tells you all about it .

Okay it looks like it needs to go to the charcoal canister and the canister needs a vaccum line to the crankcase.   Thanks!

Carb float bowl, not crank case!
