Help! My bird is smoking
« on: December 07, 2015, 02:58:58 PM »
Finally got my eagle home and on the road.  Drove it all weekend with no problems.  This morning went out and started it to let it warm up. 10 minutes later went out and the  interior was filled with smoke and the  smell of burning plastic. Didn't  have a problem yesterday morning.  I'm hoping it's the blower if not it's a dashboard tear out.  :cussing:

Are you sure it's not stereo issues?

Headlamp switch?  Were the headlights on and/or upgraded to brighter lamps with no change to the wiring harness from stock?  Could be the blower resistor, the motor is in the engine compartment.

Smell under the rad cap to see if maybe it's the heater core leaking.

Well it's definitely something to do with the heat. I have no blower and the  smell is there when I have the heat turned on without the blower on. At least it's not smoking any more
