New on The Den
« on: February 15, 2014, 09:17:29 PM »
New HERE to The Den. Was on The Nest back in the day & am still on Evo occasionally. Am currently on my third Eagle. Bought a new Kamback when I got back from Korea & traded it about a year later for a new wagon. Got married, wife started a business & we needed a pickup, so it was goodbye Eagle. Still miss having one, so I now have BlackBird. '86 wagon. Needs A LOT! Just getting started, HAD plans for it years back. Didn't happen, long story, Not going into it here. Folks that knew me on The Nest know the story & the end result is on Evo. I now have BlackBird back & as I said, slowly getting started on him.

Thanks. He's running, probably NOT gonna get the 360 OR any paint. Just hope to keep him running for now. Whenever I hit the lottery (yeah, right), he WILL get a lot of stuff done. At Tech School (again). Strut rod bushings & an alignment this time. NOT something I wanted to try on my own in the middle of winter. Get that done, it's 2 more new tires to replace the other cracked/dry rotted ones & then HOPEFULLY, start driving him.

I'm baaaaack.  Been a while, kinda been on SpaceBook. BlackBird's gone (RI.P.), it got rear-ended almost a year ago (late May 2016). Bought what I thought was gonna be a replacement (White Eagle) in July 2016. Has a chinese knock-off of a Motorcraft, took it to someone to fix in Sept.? probably Oct. because I got a hip replacement first of Nov. & couldn't drive for a minimum of 6 weeks. Got it back with not much done to it. He said that chinese piece of junk is warped. So meanwhile, my disability got approved & with my back pay, I bought Brandon's. That brings me up to THREE vehicles now, all in the same parking lot at the apartment complex. I get the bright idea that since Bleep & the other Eagle are legal, I might as well do White Eagle too. At least they won't be complaining about that, too! Took it in & he didn't even bother putting it in the system. Not in the system, no charge. No inspection, not in the system! I think the pics. pretty much speak for themselves!

For those who missed BlackBird's demise, here's what happened: Up until I saw the bent 'frame', even then till I saw the gas tank kissing the axle, I was thinking about keeping it. That decided me, no leaks, but just a matter of time if I drove it like that. So, it found a new home. I think the guy wanted the tranny out of it.
