What kind of band are you talking about here?  I have a healthy collection of Saxophones... maybe I could jam some with you guys?  (Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Bari... don't like travleing with the Bari much though!)

I have to note though... are we going to have an Eagle Meet with no opportunity to check out some trails?  Any chance of doing a trail run on Saturday?  I don't think I am the only one that likles to freak people out on the trails!  Should have the Kammback upgraded and ready to go for this one!

Have a great Easter!

I haven't considered that... I will check into a couple of spots around here and see what I can do. I think that's a good idea, althought my Eagle wouldn't be up for that... unless I get my 81 back up here from Ft.Worth, I'd take it. Otherwise it'd be my Blazer.

I'll see what I can figure out.

As for music. We are a rock band. Not metal but deffinitely hard rock. Mostly newer stuff and alot of our original work. But we'll bust out some old school once in awhile from like Cream, Tom Petty, Ozzy, Steve Miller Band, and others. We have a guy thats talking about jumping in on some fiddle playing. If you know any great rock songs with the brass... let us know and we'll have it ready for you for when you get here so we can jam it together..... anything by Bob Segar would be badass!!!

Naw, that's current.  Old school is swing, Glen Miller.
New-fangled ulta modern is Beetles - Batles - something like that.
Besides, you left out Joyce Green.

I'm down for whatever man, but I do hope you can make this event, Rambler...

Ya know, this event I'm working on LOOKS realy cool, but nothing has really been confirmed yet, LOL! Still one of those "hurry up and wait" kinds of ordeals.

Rest assured, the show will go smoothly and it will be fun.

So far, the dates and activites are set in stone as well as the car cruise with the other 2000+ cars.

The band stuff has not been confirmed yet because the venue is not returning phone calls.

And the video taping is looking less and less likely. I will shoot some video of course, and I'm sure others will too, but I haven't had any luck finding anyone to "document" the event.

At the very least, I will probably hire a photographer for us... it's just so much easier to have someone there to take all the cool shots FOR you so you can have fun and enjoy the show. I've ruined so many vacations worrying about video tape... all I remember of the time spent was how bad it sucked to hold the camera during all the cool stuff, LOL!

Still working on some "off road" event(s).

The rest will be pretty easy and we'll just wing it. I think we had a pretty good time with that last year. We planed some stuff, but we all pretty much just hung out most of the time. I can't wait man.

Oh yeah, I did speak to Autozone, they are going to help with some door prizes.
I will also be having a T-shirt made. Thats all you get to know though... the rest is a secret and you will have to show up to get one! You will love it though!!

Also, I updated the first post with all of the more recent discussions. I cleaned it up a little bit too and tried to make it a bit more organized and easier to read.

I have found a couple off road parks... both about an hour away. I updated the post.

I have some more info as well, but I want to wait and see if it pans out before I post too much. I found a local Jeep club that does alot of off-roading... maybe they can give me a hand with some stuff and who knows, maybe they will join us for some off road activites.

Check the main post for updates.

I think I have called EVERYone in the area... may have even gotten us some Jeepers to join us from the Peoria area, but from what they could tell me... nothing "off-road" here at all for at least a couple hours in any given direction.

I was thinking about a day at the Mississippi River though... would anyone be down for that? It's about 45m to an hour away from where we'll be "stationed" but my cousin has boat we could take out and I'm pretty sure that if everyone's Eagles can make it to Galesburg, then we probably won't have any problems making it to the river, lol...

And I haven't looked in that area for any trails.. might be something nearbye? thoughts?
