Ok, I've looked hear but haven't found the answer to this one

Would the clutch/brake pedels fit into an eagle??

Only if it's hydraulic clutch. Aside from that, modifications may be needed.
AMC/Jeep gauges are for amusement only. Any correlation between them and reality is purely coincidental!

Amc didn't change much over the years, good news for us looking for parts!

I have swapped many things from cars a decade different in years, and they fit.

I have seen a set of Gremlin pedals installed they needed to be modified to work in the Eagle.

They work just fine. The Hornet will have a different pin on the side, but that is no big deal. The real Eagle ones are prone to breaking so the pin is often replaced anyway. Basically you'll end up grinding off the old pin welded to the side and bolting on a block with a stud. Since the Eagle ones break so often you're basically just getting it over with early if you use Hornet ones.

The fact that they break so easy really makes me wonder if they are the same as early XJ and MJ pedals because I have broken some myself and seen lots of others break  too.
