while XJs tend to get converted for wheeling reasons.

That makes a lot of sense, but doesn't explain the Avalanche, the Baja, or the Explorer pickup - those vehicles never see the trail, and the bed is still useless  :rotfl:

The Cadillac EXT and the Lincoln Mark LT were the ones that really blew my mind. The craziest thing is they actually sold quite a few of them....of course I never thought I would live to see the day that Toyota has a NASCAR team and Hyundai has a 50,000 dolla v8 luxury car....sign of the times I guess.

I love going to hardware stores and seeing guy's try to fit 4x8 sheets of plywood into their ridgeline or explorer sport trac's..

Yeah, I checked that out. They did good work. I liked the black version of it better though.

I have always wanted to have a four door commanche.  I would want a bigger bed than that Cherokee.  Actually I think it would be really cool to figure out a way to make four door J series truck.

They were offered in four door model.

Don't recall if I've ever actually seen one in person though.

I was going to take a 2dr XJ and graft up to the B pillar from it to the front of an MJ. The cabs are too dang small for a 6 foot tall, 300 lb guy like me!
AMC/Jeep gauges are for amusement only. Any correlation between them and reality is purely coincidental!

that shortened concorde is forsale on the bay site. go check it out. alot of pictures with it on there.

Its available for a very reasonable price, but the listing I saw had only one picture posted.  I would really love to see more, including what they did with the interior.

Still aren't any real good shots of the interior.

Thanks and have an egg!

I was really interested to see what they did in the back seat area.

NOPE!  That 4 Door J truck was a totally custom build combining a Wagoneer Bod and rear of a J-cab.  THere are actually several examples of this... one was even on the last Cabelas vehicle "vote" for coolness!

I did one of these myself and doing another one, however, I may use a 2 door Chero body rear... ala avalanche, etc...

Have a great weekend!

I didn't think that was correct. I looked it up and couldn't find any info on a 4 door J Truck.
