axle parts source?
« on: November 08, 2012, 02:16:50 AM »
I'm looking for parts for my rear axle wondering if anyone has had any luck locating the outer bearing covers. I pulled the rear axle from my SX/4 to put under my 84 wagon and found this. :o

its a not so good pic but you'll notice only part of the cover still exists

Wow, Billman...I have NEVER EVER seen that piece rust out.

@maximus7001...based on the position of the brake parts it appears to be the driver's side. :eagle:

1983 Eagle Limited Wagon, parts; sold
2000 Jeep Cherokee, 4.0, auto
2007 Hyundai Accent, radical downsize from minivan, wife's car and she loves it!

"The society which scorns excellence in plumbing as a humble activity and tolerates shoddiness in philosophy because it is an exalted activity will have neither good plumbing nor good philosophy: neither its pipes nor its theories will hold water."--John W.
