Changes here at the Den
« on: May 11, 2017, 12:47:56 PM »
Some of you may know the reason the Den was down the past day or so.  If not, Ken or his appointee's had not paid the bills to keep it in operation.  Once I was made aware of this I contacted the host and arranged to have the Den put back in my name as I did not want to lose this valuable resource.  Through the upcoming days I will meet with the current active admins and moderators to take a look at things and do some light housekeeping.   A big thank you to those dedicated folks who kept things going here.  I do not know Ken's status.  I fear he has passed away or is otherwise unable to keep then Den going..   Thank you  to all who are active members here.  Many of you I know and many I do not know but looking forward to becoming acquainted with.

Doug (IowaEagle).

Thank you Doug!  While I no longer own an Eagle or any other AMC product, nor do I see myself getting one in the foreseeable future, I enjoy coming here to see what others are doing and to share what little knowledge I have.  Do you have a way for members to contribute to an operating fund for the forum? Paul aka Strike Eagle expressed the want to help out, but he didn't want to do it through the donate button if he wasn't sure it would be going to the forum.

Thanks Eaglefreak.  We will be looking into financial support options in the future.  For now we are good.  I would love to see a store again but with someone else running it for us.  The previous store more than made enough to finance this forum and its associated sites.

Thanks Doug!  I've heard it said so many times that the Den is the best car forum on the internet and its great to see it back up after a short hiatus.

Doug, I was an admin of little use, but if you need something I'd be happy to help. Good to see you back at the forum. I know you've been staying away for awhile. Hope this brings you around more often.

I've been kicking around the idea of creating some AMC/Eagle related designs/logos that could be uploaded to a website like Cafepress so that you could get t-shirts and everything else under the sun made. If I ever get around to it I would be more than happy to contribute a portion of the profit to the forum.

I know on Facebook you mentioned that the current donate button does not go to a fund that is being used for this forum so I think first and foremost we need to figure out how to have that removed. I'd hate for that donate button to be contributing to the guy that nearly ran this place into the ground several years back!

So, I haven't been here for a while and I can't find a "parts for sale"  - what's up with that?

Edit:  I see it now.  I wasn't logged in, apparently its only visible to members.
