Title: dead eagle need help
Post by: maddog on April 03, 2013, 11:19:00 PM
well Eagle Eyes has died so to speak. i last drove her on sunday and she was running perfectly fine went to go to work this morning and she wouldn't fire. she is definetly getting fuel but no spark. i have replaced the coil and the plug wires. the cap and rotor are good as well as the plugs. i have a bad feeling it may be the icm but i wanted to get you all's thought's on it. also if it is the icm does anybody have a parts# for it as none of the parts stores can seem to get it.

i was thinking of yanking the icm from Survivor since her engine is messed up but i'm not sure if it would work since she is a stock 83 and Eagle Eyes is an 80.

My ICM just went bad over the weekend.  NAPA has a replacement, in either a cheap one or higher priced one.  They had it in stock in the store.  Part number is TP 40.

FYI, if both ICMs have the same number of plugs/wires, then they will interchange.
