Speedo gear at trans case - seal??
« on: September 29, 2019, 08:18:04 PM »
So it appears that the speedo gear spot in the transfer case is leaking pretty bad. Before I go taking it apart, what kind of seal is used to seal it? Is it a simple O-ring?

This diagram seems to indicate one O-ring - http://amceaglesden.com/guide/File:84880263.jpg I guess I'll have to get under there, clean it up and see what's up. I have a kit of like 400 O-rings so I guess I should be fine.

It is an oring. Just pay attention to clock position, so to put it back in the same position.
