I think you are missing a weird in there
Where do you connect the weird?  lol.
you mean wire?
I suppose I should be productive too.  For being parked for so long, it sure looks fine.

I think he meant word.

Ps - when I removed the rocker cover it was completely full of dirt and a large colony of ants! That's where the worst rotten part is,.

They were very angry with my restoration efforts

Also, luckly I have a completely rust free Spirit that has given a lot to keep the rest of the fleet on the road, looks like it's about to donate some rockers now! Those will be welded in place of course.

Luckily since my welding is pretty ugly at times the Krayton peices will cover everything up nicely

Rocker panels are also available from Rock Auto for $32 each, if you'd prefer to work with something new.

A little more progess

1. Welded in the new floor panels and then fiberglassed them TOO just to be sure
2. Undercoated the whole floor area
3. Got new carpet, hope to install this weekend and put the seats back in, its really hard to drive it sitting on an old milk crate
4. Ordered brand new rocker panels from Rock Auto, they are on their way!!

BTW, the rocker panels were only $32 each, however the shipping was as much as the part! But still not bad for new ones I suppose

5. Got new Jeep door handles to put on
6. Started sanding, lots more of that to do
7. Almost got the rear bumper off, still one bolt that wont come off grrrr

Good progress so far! I wonder how bad the galvanic corrosion around the bumper will be?

Got the new rocker panels in the mail today, they are really nice. I've never bought a new body part for an AMC ever...

It held them up to the car and they look like a good fit at first glance

Tomorrow I hope to cut out the old stuff and get the new ones welded in, I will take lots of pics of the progress

I used those rocker panels when I had Pepe repainted.  I didn't do that work myself so I can't tell you if they were easy to put in but the finished product looked good!  Good luck getting them installed!
