I believe the 80s didn't come with them. They started using the coolant heated manifold in 81.

Yup. 80 was cast-iron exhaust heated. It has a thermostatic spring loaded diverter door under the carb. 81 went to the aluminum, water heated/cooled intake and an exhaust with wider radius turns for better breathing. But the 80 gets a steel cover which leaks a lot less.

Hi very nice 1980 . I have one also . it is Concord DL wagon. I will post fictures soon. I have some problems with my Motorcraft 2100. Idle speed to high. Did you have the sams problem when you installed yours? It is 1.08 with .47 jets.

man this is an example of how the spark wires should be in the right direction,hope this help , this tfi is on my 1980 vam amx
